Rachel is a multi-award-winning People and Culture Director, CEO and Founder of ChangeWave Consultancy, who specialises in changing cultures and shaping careers.
With over twenty years’ experience in senior HR roles, bringing a distinctive combination of operational HR leadership, people strategy and deep expertise in change management, employee engagement, talent, culture, and inclusion.
Put simply, she changes cultures with tangible outcomes, culminating in her winning the 2023 DE&I Influencer of the Year as well as making the D&I Inspirational Leaders list in 2024
She has a breadth and depth of experience, with her most recent role leading HR operations in Europe and India for a global professional services consultancy. She also owns the regional People Strategy and Organisational Culture portfolios—ED&I, wellbeing, and employee engagement.
Before this, Rachel spent sixteen years in policing in a variety of strategic police staff roles and was D&I Lead at the Metropolitan Police Service, where she delivered initiatives with impact, including the Women Returners Programme and MetBaby parenting programme. She also reengineered the workplace adjustments process and introduced adjustment and carer’s passports to support disability inclusion. Her other successes include winning the HR Excellence award and being highly commended at the CIPD People Management Awards whilst at Surrey Police for her work in increasing representation for probationer intakes.
Rachel’s HR career began in financial services and led to senior L&D roles before project manager of a major change programme in the 999 contact centre. A chartered CIPD member, DiSC and MBTI practitioner, she is also an ILM7 advanced Executive coach and mentor.
