Onvero, the UK’s leading not-for-profit organisation helping employers build and maintain diverse and inclusive teams, has announced the results of the Inclusivity Excellence Awards 2025. The awards recognise the individuals and organisations making strides in promoting and progressing workplace diversity, equality, inclusion (DEI) and belonging.
This year marks the first awards under the new Onvero brand. Onvero received 117 nominations from across the UK, showing that many remain committed to championing inclusion and diversity despite the challenging economic, social, and political climate, which has made it harder for those working in the DEI space. The response was encouraging.
Winners and highly commended individuals and teams were selected by a judging panel of DEI experts and announced at the annual ceremony, hosted by the Institute of Civil Engineers and sponsored by Evenbreak, HATS Group, HeX, MatchWare, MikeWorldWide, Something Familiar, and Working Families.
This year also introduced three new award categories: Talent Retention, Development, and Progression, Inclusive Recruitment Initiative, and Inclusive Leader of the Year.
Sandi Wassmer, Chief Executive Officer of Onvero, said: “While diversity, equality and inclusion remain essential for organisational success, the pressures faced by those working in this space have intensified over the past year. Against this backdrop, I am heartened to see so many individuals and organisations continuing to drive change. Their dedication to creating workplaces where everyone feels they belong is truly inspiring.”
The most successful entries were those that showcased a positive and measurable impact to enhance inclusivity within their organisation, from improved representation and performance to higher employee engagement and retention.
